Overload 2024 - SCARS

Overload Crew welcomes the 10th event in the Overload series, on September 13 – 15. 2024.

In a world not so different from our own, two neighboring nations, Zephyria and Novaria, found themselves on the brink of war. The tension had been building for decades, rooted in old scars that refused to heal.

The origin of the conflict dated back to a territorial dispute over a resource-rich border region. Despite attempts at diplomatic resolution, the wounds of the past had festered. Each nation held onto grievances, real or perceived, from ancient clashes that had shaped the narratives of their people.

Zephyria and Novaria were both modern military powers, equipped with advanced technology and formidable armies. The scars of the past were etched into the collective memories of their citizens, passed down from generation to generation like a dark inheritance.

The spark that ignited the powder keg came in the form of a small border skirmish, a clash over a disputed piece of land. Although it began as a minor incident, the echoes of history reverberated through the minds of the military leaders and political figures on both sides. The scars of the past loomed large, clouding judgment and fostering an atmosphere of mistrust.

As skirmishes escalated, both nations mobilized their forces, deploying troops along the border. The air crackled with tension as the modern armies faced off, their advanced weaponry poised for conflict. The scars of the past had manifested in the present, and the specter of war cast a shadow over the once peaceful landscape.

Amidst the preparations for battle, a few voices called for restraint and diplomacy. Some remembered the cost of war from previous conflicts, urging their leaders to seek peaceful solutions and break the cycle of revenge.
